Upon arrival at Dar es Salaam Airport, you’ll be greeted by a driver who will escort you to The Southern Sun. Day 2-4

Nyerere National Park

Roho ya Selous

Today, you’ll depart for the international airport to catch your light aircraft flight to Nyerere National Park, renowned as one of Africa’s premier game reserves. Your accommodation awaits in the heart of Nyerere’s prime game viewing area at Roho ya Selous. Upon settling into your room and relishing a delectable lunch, take some time to unwind before indulging in afternoon tea followed by an exhilarating afternoon game drive. The park boasts a rich diversity and abundance of wildlife, ensuring a highly rewarding safari experience.

Your safari days offer ample flexibility, with a variety of activities to choose from each morning and afternoon. Unlike Ruaha, the walking safaris here offer a unique exploration of the miombo woodland environment guided by experts. Boating safaris are a highlight, whether in the morning or afternoon, offering close encounters with wildlife at the water’s edge, including bird colonies, hippos, and crocodiles. Additionally, you can try your hand at catch-and-release fishing for added adventure.

Day 5-8

Ruaha National Park

Jabali Ridge

Dinner, Bed & Breakfast

Following breakfast, you’ll head to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Ruaha. Upon arrival, your guide will greet you and lead a brief game drive to Jabali Ridge. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure, with the option of an afternoon game drive. As dusk falls, prepare for drinks and dinner or opt for a night game drive to seek out nocturnal residents.

At Jabali Ridge, your days can be tailored to your preferences. Walking safaris offer an immersive start to the day, allowing you to explore the environment alongside wildlife. You can opt for morning game drives, full-day game drives with picnic lunches, or a relaxed lunch in camp followed by an afternoon game drive. Alternatively, spend the day at leisure by the pool and indulge in spa treatments. Your preferences will be accommodated to ensure a fulfilling experience.

Following breakfast on your final day, prepare to bid farewell to Ruaha National Park as you pack your bags and head for the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Dar es Salaam International Airport. Enjoy a delicious packed lunch from Jabali Ridge as you journey to Dar es Salaam to catch your onward travel arrangements.
