Waterberg Wilderness Lodge

Comprising two distinct lodges — one nestled in the valley and the other perched atop the Waterberg Massif — Waterberg Wilderness Lodge in central Namibia is both a destination and a stopover rolled into one.

The Lodge
Waterberg Wilderness Lodge is set in a lush valley nourished by abundant underground water, resulting in thriving acacias, bamboo groves, and vibrant gardens. The chalets, constructed from the region’s iconic red sandstone, are spread along the valley floor, shaded by towering trees. Each chalet is en suite, with solar-powered electricity ensuring comfort while minimizing environmental impact. The main lodge houses the dining room, two swimming pools, a cosy lounge, and a well-stocked library.

Waterberg Plateau Lodge
For those seeking sweeping views and elevated comfort, Waterberg Plateau Lodge is built higher up on the plateau, offering uninterrupted vistas of the Namibian bush stretching endlessly to the horizon. Constructed with sandstone walls and traditional iron roofs, the chalets are designed to stay cool and comfortable. The Plateau Lodge provides a more intimate, rustic setting, perfect for a tranquil escape.

Dining and Leisure
Dinner is a celebration of Namibian flavours, featuring game meats and fresh, homegrown vegetables, all complemented by robust South African red wines. Afternoon tea is a time-honoured tradition at both lodges, offering guests the perfect opportunity to relax and take in the stunning sunsets over the Waterberg landscape.
