The Camp
Chobe Elephant Camp
Chobe Elephant Camp sits high on the edge of a rocky ridge at Muchenje, with wide views over the floodplains of the Chobe River. It takes up to 36 guests in eighteen chalets.
The look is that of an old farmstead in the bush: polished floors, exposed wooden beams and weathered furniture. Twelve of the chalets are built entirely of sandbags filled with the red Kalahari sand of northern Botswana. All have indoor and outdoor showers and a private veranda.
The open-plan main area has deep couches and a reading corner, and there is a bar and a pool. Game drives, canoe trips on the floodplain, boat trips on the Chobe and visits to a nearby village fill the days.

The Rooms
Fourteen chalets on the ridge with a double or twin beds, air-conditioning, a ceiling fan, a safe, indoor and outdoor showers and a private veranda over the floodplain. A third bed can be added on request.
Two family chalets, each with two twin or double rooms joined by a lounge. Each room has its own bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, air-conditioning and a private veranda.
