Tlouwana Camp
Tlouwana is the Setswana word for a young elephant, a good name for a camp in the Chobe area, which has some of the most concentrated elephant numbers in Africa. The camp is on Hunters Road in the Kasane Forest Reserve, close to Chobe National Park.
It is owner-run and managed, and aims to give a classic safari at good value. There are ten tents in the classic safari style, on raised pine decks with a view of the camp waterhole, each with an en-suite bathroom and a sitting area.
Days are spent in Chobe National Park on game drives and on boat trips along the Chobe riverfront. The camp has a pool, a bar and a restaurant serving a mix of traditional and European food.
