Horizon by Ongava
Horizon by Ongava, formerly Little Ongava, is three villas on the private Ongava Game Reserve beside Etosha, built for privacy and with wide views across the Ongava plains.
Each villa has a sitting room with a fireplace, a private viewing deck with an infinity plunge pool, and a walkway leading to a small thatched lookout. The bedroom is air-conditioned, and the bathroom has indoor and outdoor showers, a double basin and a bath with a view.
Every booking comes with a private vehicle, so game drives on the reserve and into Etosha run at your own pace. The reserve has lion, black and white rhino and plenty of plains game.

An air-conditioned bedroom with an en-suite bathroom: separate toilet, indoor and outdoor showers, a double basin and a bath with a view. The private sala has a fireplace, tea and coffee, a mini-bar and a safe, and outside is a plunge pool with its own deck.

Game drives on the Ongava reserve
Drives on the private Ongava Game Reserve, known for its rhino and lion and for the black-faced impala, in your own vehicle with your own guide.
Game drives into Etosha
Morning drives into Etosha National Park to see the great salt pan and the springs that draw its big game. A packed lunch comes with the full day.
Guided nature walks
Walks on the reserve with a walking guide, when one is available, with a chance of approaching white rhino on foot.
The hide
A hide at a waterhole, where game comes to drink in this dry country.

When to go
Dry months, roughly June to October, bring the animals to the waterholes. November to April is the green season: lush scenery, great birding and fewer visitors. Tap or hover over a month for more.

Explore the Area
Horizon by Ongava sits on the private Ongava Game Reserve, which borders Etosha National Park on its southern side. Andersson Gate, the main entrance to Etosha, is close by, so it is easy to spend days driving between the park's waterholes, where elephant, lion and giraffe come to drink.
