The Camp
Roho ya Selous
Roho ya Selous is set on a small peninsula overlooking the waterway between Lake Manze and Lake Nzerakera, in the heart of the main game-viewing area of Nyerere National Park, the reserve once known as the Selous.
It is a comfortable, stylish tented camp. The tents have air-conditioning and a fan, mosquito nets, an outdoor shower and a safe, and there are family tents with a second room for children. Between outings there is a pool, a library and a lounge and bar.
Nyerere is as much about water as land. The camp offers game drives through swamp, palm-lined rivers, miombo woodland and open plains, boat trips among the hippo and crocodile, walking safaris and catch-and-release fishing for tiger fish and catfish.

Tents with a double or twin beds, air-conditioning and a fan, mosquito nets, a safe and dressing gowns. The bathroom leads out to an outdoor shower.
A main bedroom with a second room for children alongside, with the same air-conditioning, mosquito nets and shower.
From the camp
Things to do
Game drives
Open-sided vehicles with a shade roof, charging points and cooler boxes, through the swamps, palm-lined rivers, miombo woodland and open plains of Nyerere.
Boating safaris
Cruise past pods of hippo in the shallows and crocodiles on the sandbanks, with good birding as you drift close to nesting colonies.
Walking safaris
Out on foot with one of the camp's guides, to feel, smell and hear the bush as well as see it.
Catch-and-release fishing
An afternoon on the boat casting for catfish and the sought-after tiger fish. The camp has all the equipment.
Sleep-outs
A night out in the bush away from camp.
