Wolwedans Dune Camp
Wolwedans Dune Camp sits in the NamibRand Nature Reserve, built to make the most of the views across the reserve to the mountains beyond. The lounge, dining area and tea room are spread over linked decks, with canvas sides that roll up in summer and down in winter.
There are six tented rooms on raised wooden platforms, joined to the main area by wooden walkways. Each has a king-size bed, indoor and outdoor bathrooms, and a deck with a daybed that turns into a Starbed for a night under the stars, plus a small water-filled silo, the Wolwedans Chiller, for cooling off.
Dinner is at a long shared table, or a private table if you prefer. The Silo Bar is the place for a sundowner, and the fire pit is where everyone gathers as the desert cools.

Spacious tents on raised wooden platforms with a king-size bed (or twin), indoor and outdoor bathrooms (no bath) and a deck with a daybed that becomes a Starbed. There is a mini-bar and Wi-Fi; there is no air-conditioning, as the rooms are built for airflow.

Scenic drives and sundowners
A sunrise drive with coffee and rusks, morning or afternoon drives of two to three hours, or a short drive to a sundowner spot among the dunes.
Bushman walk
A walk through the dunes with an experienced Bushman guide, reading the tracks left overnight by small creatures.

A visit to the Wolwedans Village to meet the team and see the sustainability projects behind the camp.

Time alone and without your phone in a quiet spot in the dunes. Wolwedans is recognised by Quiet Parks International.

Guided e-bike rides across the dunes and plains (morning or evening rides included), and horse rides for all levels at extra cost.
Desert sleepout
A private night out in the dunes with a dinner hamper and sunrise coffee, from September to May for stays of three nights or more.

When to go
March to May are the top months, with milder days. June to September is dry and clear with cold nights. October to February is hot, so go to the dunes at sunrise. Tap or hover over a month for more.

Can we sleep under the stars?
Yes. Each deck has a daybed that turns into a Starbed; ask the camp team to set it up. It is included.
Is there air-conditioning?
No. The camp runs on a light footprint, so the rooms are built for airflow instead, and each has a small water-filled silo to cool off in.
Which activities are included?
