The Camp
Rekero Camp
Rekero Camp stands close to a crossing point on the Talek River in the Masai Mara. It is a fine place to be all year, and when the Great Migration comes through, the wildebeest and zebra cross the river right on its doorstep.
The camp has the charm of the safaris of an earlier era, with nine tents and wide views over the plains. Two of the tents are airy family tents with their own bathrooms, and the main deck is the place for meals and quiet hours over the river.
Shared game drives go out morning and afternoon or for the full day, with a packed breakfast or lunch if you want to stay out. A private vehicle gives more freedom, and balloon flights over the plains can be arranged.
