Hoanib Valley Camp
Hoanib Valley Camp sits in one of the most breathtaking corners of Namibia. The north-west — Kaokoland — is defined by vast open desert wilderness, towering dunes and swathes of rocky mountains. Many visitors leave with the sense they've been somewhere life-affirming.
Six guest tents in a modern safari style reflect their surrounds in furnishing and design. Days are spent exploring this spectacular area, understanding its geology, wildlife and culture — and meeting the iconic Himba and Herero people of the region.
In partnership with the Giraffe Conservation Foundation, morning and afternoon drives search for desert-adapted elephant, giraffe, lion, black rhino and mountain zebra. Few places reward restful contemplation more than the privacy of your own veranda.
