Kazile Island Lodge
Kazile Island Lodge is situated on a private island on the banks of the Kwando River, within the heart of KAZA. Kazile and its sister lodge Nambwa are the only lodges situated within the Bwabwata National Park. Thirteen Meru tents nestle in a mangosteen forest, overlooking the river and the floodplains towards the famous Horseshoe Bend.
The island can only be reached by boat. Each tent has two three-quarter beds with mosquito nets, an en-suite shower and a private wooden deck facing the river or the floodplain.
Herds of buffalo and elephant traverse the wet Zambezi landscape, and sitatunga are often spotted along the floodplains and marshes — explored on game drives, bush walks and boat cruises.
