Nunda River Lodge

Nunda River Lodge, on the Okavango River in Namibia’s Kavango East, pairs a homely, relaxed atmosphere with a true African wildlife experience. Nunda is the local Thimbukushu name for the fruit of the jackalberry tree, and the lodge lies in the homeland of the Hambukushu people.

Seven large twin-bed Meru tents on wooden decks and eight thatched twin-bed bungalows all have covered decks overlooking the river; four thatched chalets, not river-facing, complete the offering, alongside some of the best campsites on the river.

Spend two days or more exploring the region — excellent birding, wildlife in the neighbouring Bwabwata National Park, great fishing and diverse cultural experiences — before travelling on to the Okavango Delta, Etosha, Zambia or Victoria Falls.

River-facing Bungalow Meru Tent Chalet

All bungalows have en-suite bathrooms and sleep two, with a covered patio overlooking the Okavango River and lush vegetation. Meru tents stand on wooden decks over the river; four thatched chalets face away from the river.
