Villa Margherita
Villa Margherita is a boutique hotel in the heart of historic Swakopmund, founded in 2008. Colonial charm, hand-picked art and quiet gardens set the tone, and it suits couples and honeymooners well.
There are just ten rooms on the main property, each one different and each with its own name, plus a private apartment in the building next door. Every room has tea and Nespresso coffee, cotton linen and bathroom products by Africology and Kalahari.
The in-house restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, using greens picked from the hotel's own hydroponic garden and produce from local suppliers. You can eat in the dining room or outside under the Swakopmund sky.
Rooms
The Rooms
Lady Hamilton and Lord Nelson are cottage suites entered from the garden through a private lounge. Adam & Eve is a twin room with its own lounge and garden access, and Eden is a small queen room with a four-poster bed and a patio onto the garden.
Romeo & Juliet is on the first floor of the main building, with its own stairs and a large private terrace over the garden. The Queen room has a sitting area facing the garden, and Isotta in The Villa has a private entrance and sitting area.
The King suite upstairs has two bedrooms, a private lounge and views over town to the dunes. The Nest and Tristano are two-bedroom family units with a queen room and a twin room, a lounge and a shared bathroom.

Dinner at the hotel
Seasonal cooking with local produce and greens from the hydroponic garden, indoors or outside. There is also a seafood menu and high tea.
Marine dolphin cruise
A cruise with Mola Mola Safaris on the Atlantic, with plenty of bird and sea mammal life and fresh oysters and bubbles on board.
Sandwich Harbour 4x4
A 4x4 trip with Mola Mola Safaris between the ocean and the high dunes of the Namib, with tours in English, German and Afrikaans.
