The Camp
Duba Explorers Camp
Duba Explorers Camp is in the north-east corner of the Duba concession, a private reserve in the northern Okavango Delta. The land around it is mostly permanent floodplain, mixed with seasonal floodplains, grassland and pockets of mopane and acacia woodland.
The camp sits under mature jackalberry, leadwood, mangosteen and sycamore fig trees, which give it shade all year, and looks out across the water channels. It is part of the Great Plains Explorers Collection and was designed by Dereck and Beverly Joubert in the style of the early safaris.
There are only five tents, so the camp feels small and personal. Day and night drives, guided walks and boating and mokoro trips are all included, and there is a pool for the hot hours.
