The Camp
Onguma Camp Kala
Onguma Camp Kala stands on raised wooden decks above one of the most active waterholes on the Onguma Nature Reserve, a private reserve of 35,480 hectares on the eastern boundary of Etosha National Park.
It takes just eight guests in four open-plan suites, each with a bedroom and lounge, a bathroom with a free-standing bath and double vanity, and a deck with a plunge pool and wood-fired hot tub. A short walkway leads to a shaded sala with a daybed for an armchair safari, or a night sleeping out.
There is a sunken hide at the waterhole, a spa and yoga deck, and a gym looking into the bush. Drives into Etosha and on the reserve, bush walks and the Dream Cruiser sleep-out fill the days.
